Greater Cairo Metro Line 2

The line comprises 18 stations, 6 of which are either above ground or elevated and the rest are underground stations including the reserved extension in Mubarak and Sadat stations.

ACE scope of work:

• Feasibility study
• Topographical survey for the whole line using the most advanced electronic instruments, providing all data features in their true perspectives (scale 1/200).
• Geotechnical studies for the whole line including field and lab works. Field tests have been performed for more than 2500 linear metres of borings. Boreholes 45.0 m deep had been performed for the underground stations; linear and non-linear parameters of the soil strata had been calculated.
• Diversion of public utilities studies was given priority preceding the main works
