Upgrading of Ten Airports in Gabon

As the development of the urban and transportation section is a main development target for the Republic of Gabon, the decision to upgrade ten main airports (Oyem, Bitam, Port Gentil, Tchibanga, Franceville, Koulamoutou, Makokou, Mouila, Omboue and Lamberne) became a mega-project for the nation and ACE was there to help.

This project consists of:

• Construction of new terminal buildings for airports in Bitam, Koulamouto, Makoukou, Oyem and Tchibanga.
• A new presidential lounge in the Franceville airport.
• Rehabilitation of terminal buildings for five airports: Franceville, Lamberne, Mouila, Omboue and Port Gentil.
• Extension of runways and taxiways for the airports of Bitam, Franceville, Koulamoutou, Makoukou, Mouila, Oyem, Port Gentil and Tchibanga.
