An ancillary fire fighting building was considered necessary to meet safety needs taking into consideration the existing fire station. Therefore, the implantation of a new command post for rescue and fire fighting services in the central area, north to the projected runway was needed.
Emergency access roads with direct access to the runway were necessary so as to facilitate achieving minimum response times.
An electric substation building was also required. The airfield lighting substation was implemented on the same area proposed for the new building installations close to the runway. The building has an approximate surface area of 350 m².
