Development of Sharm El-Sheikh Harbour
Sharm El-Sheikh is one of the jewels of Egyps travel and tourism destinations and ACE played a role in the development of Sharms harbour area. The development plans for the harbour comprised the installation of the following:
- Principal platform with a total length of 300m
- Two basins and U-shaped marina with a total length of 130m
- Reserve platform with a total length of 200m
- Blocks platform with a total length of 60m
Our scope of work:
- Study of seismicity and tectonic activity of the harbour area.
- Subsurface geology and geotechnical studies of the harbour area. These comprised the drilling and sampling of 10 boreholes down to 25 m depth in the marine area of the harbour to identify its subsurface geology.
