Development of Sharm El-Sheikh Harbour
- A land survey that comprises plane and leveling surveys
- Marine surveys that comprised the following:
- Bathymetric survey using continuous echo sounding and GPS to identify bottom topography and depth gradient of the harbour area
- Shoreline configuration mapping
- Hydrographic surveys comprising continuous current, tide and wave measurements
- Mathematical modelling using the data obtained from the above surveys to optimize the design and orientation of the planned platforms. The output of the model was passed to the engineering group for the preparation of the platform design
