International Coastal Highway
The northern coastal road, on the Egyptian coast of the Mediterranean Sea, extends from Rafah in the east to Marsa-Matrouh in the west, with a total length of about 1,000 km. ACE acted as the consultant for sections 3, 7, 7A, 7B 8, and the arteries connecting the Nile Delta with the coastal road, for a total length of about 250 km including 24 bridges and 4 main interchanges. The cost for this multi-facted project, executed between 1993 and 2004, was 1.3 billion Egyptian pounds.
