Rehabilitation and Reconstruction of 66 Bridges in Uganda

Second stage: Economic evaluation of bridges to be included in the rehabilitation programme in order to establish a priority list for phased rehabilitation, and the detailed technical design of Group II bridges.

ACE scope of work:

• Data collection and analysis
• Examination and assessment of the structural soundness and stability for the 66 bridges
• Preparation of preliminary calculations for drainage requirements, working stresses and loadings
• Preparation of preliminary cost estimate
• Estimation of the remaining useful life of the bridges
• Preparation of time schedule for the rehabilitation works
