Professor Ahmed Moharram Sr

After a lengthy and productive academic tenure at Cairo University, and later Ain Shams University, Prof Moharram embarked on a career in public service in the Egyptian government. In his distinguished career, Prof Moharram received the Republic of Egypts highest medal of honour in 1964, the state merit prize in engineering sciences in 1983, and finally the Mubarak prize for sciences in 2003. He is a fellow and an active senior member in many technical and professional societies such as the International Association for Bridges and Structural Engineering (IABSE) and the Institution of Structural Engineers (UK) and has served as a president and senior advisor in several of these organisations, including the Egyptian Engineering Society. Prof Moharram is currently serving as a court guardian to the Egyptian Syndicate of Engineers, in addition to being the chairman of ACE and its sister company, Ardaman-ACE.
